Mirosław Nizio



One of the best recognised Polish interior architects and a well-known sculptor. Founder of the Nizio Design International (NDI) design studio, since 2002 based in Warsaw’s Praga district, specialising in designing museum compounds and thematic exhibitions.

Boasts a track record of such innovative projects as the Museum in Bełżec, Warsaw Uprising Museum, Factory Museum in Łódź, monumental urban layout “Gross Rossen”, and the 1st award for the design of the Contemporary Art Museum in Wrocław.

Founder of the contemporary art gallery - Nizio Gallery – promoting artists from around the world.
Prior to his arrival in Poland, Mirosław Nizio had set up his own design firm in New York, where he had won, e.g. Glenn Boyles Memorial Rendering And Design Award in 1993 and Educational Foundation for the Design Industries in Interior Design Award in 1998.

Speaker at numerous conferences, e.g. “The Politics of Memory”, Imperial War Museum London, Conference Deinze (Belgium), Ename Center for Public Archaeology and Heritage Presentation.

Graduate from the Warsaw College of Fine Arts, Interior Design Faculty, and Fashion Institute of Technology University, New York City.
