I position in the competition

The architectural concept, which references to the dramatic history of all pacified Polish villages, focuses on the original structure and emblem in the form of a “house – hut” which at the same time is the front of the mass subjected to deliberate and gradual deformation. At night the monument produces beams of light that illuminate the vicinity. On the one hand, the monument resembles burning villages and huts, on the other it becomes a torch of remembrance, sacrifice, and reconciliation carried by the light.
