Patriotic Thought Museum and Design Centre in Kielce
The former castle-turned-prison facility has been developed into two spaces: the Design Centre and the Patriotic Thought Museum, together with an education and conference complex. The Patriotic Thought Museum is arranged into an ancient multimedia library and “time vehicle” of the city’s architecture. The Design Centre features mobile geometric platforms, made from white laminate, which combine the functions of showcases, stands, and seats and show a broad aspect of the history of design. The common interface of the opposite centres is a vast yard (1800 m²) that blends into the arch of the historical structure. With the mini-architecture applied, its structure opens to the artistic activities of the Design Centre.
