EC1 – Interactive Centre of Science

 

The concept proposal for the Interactive Centre of Science (to be located on the site of a 100-years-old complex of the “Energopolis” power plant) in particular focuses on the need to retain and utilise historical facilities and architectural elements defining the place’s unique post-industrial ambience. The existing part of the power plant, together with its surviving historical devices, will be the basis for the historical narrative, i.e. that which refers to the times of the facility’s launch and operation. The historical narrative, told with the use of most recent means of expression, is the starting point for the presentation and understanding of the term “energy”.
